A lifelong resident of the lakeshore, Priscilla Ullmann Mueller passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 in her beloved home, Bendemeer. Priscilla was born January 23, 1925 in Oak Park, Illinois. She was the daughter of Herbert Satterlee Ullmann and Eleanor Grace Elliott and sister to Paul and Claire. Married to James White Mueller in 1945, the two raised three children on the shores of Lake Michigan, Martin, Paul, and Wende. Priscilla was also the caring and devoted grandmother to eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to those related to her, many looked to Priscilla for love, guidance, and support. Priscilla was committed to the wellbeing, beauty, and edification of the community she loved so deeply. She belonged to and passionately supported the Great Lakes Coalition, the Chamber Music Festival of Saugatuck, the Lakeshore Chapel, the reading program at the Fennville Elementary School, the Douglas Community Church, and the Saugatuck/Douglas Garden Club. Priscilla lived to her very last day with grace, beauty, and generosity. Her joyous spirit and enthusiasm for life and fun influenced all those around her. She will be remembered for her kindness and the wonderful twinkle in her eyes. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2007, 1:00PM, at the Community Church of Douglas, 6780 Wiley Rd., Douglas, MI.
