SCALES MOUND — The engagement of Miss Judith Ann Breed to Herman Haenert is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carson Breed. Mr. Haenert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Haenert.

Wed In Double-Ring Rites
SCALES MOUND — Miss Judith Ann Breed, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carson Breed, became the bride of Herman Haenert Sunday evening at 8 o'clock in the Zion Lutheran Church at Schapville. Mr. Haenert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Erich Haenert. Officiating clergyman at the double-ring ceremony was the Rev. Elroy E. Dietrich and organist was Mrs. Les Koester. Eddie Myers was soloist. The bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace over accordion-pleated tulle with a chapel-length train. The Sabrina neckline was trimmed with sequins and seed pearls and the long sleeves tapered to a point at the wrist. Her finger-tip veil was caught by a crown frosted with sequins and pearls. She carried a white Bible topped with white gladioli and streamers. Maid Of Honor The maid of honor, Miss Shelby Anderburg of Elgin, wore a blue ballerina-length gown of silk organza with a harem skirt. Her headpiece was a plateau crown which held the veil of organza. She carried a bouquet of blue and white carnations. The bridesmaids were Miss Sandra Berge of Streator, Miss Carol Miller and Miss Sue Easterbrook, both of Hinckley. They wore dresses identical to that of the maid of honor, but in a lighter shade of blue. Sally Wenziker of Stockton and Diane Pohl of Apple River were flower girls. They wore dresses similar to those of the bridesmaids and had headpieces of blue and white carnations. They carried baskets of white rose petals which they scattered on the white carpet. Horst Haenert of Lena was best man. Groomsmen were Wayne Hickman and Charles Rand of Esmond and ushers were Gary I Breed andi Cleland Winter. The ring bearer, Larry Albrecht of Hillpoint, Wis., carried the rings on a satin and lace pillow with white streamers. A reception followed in the church parlors for 260 guests. Assisting were the Misses Charlus Koehn, Lela Pfahl, Kay Stiemle, Lois Koran, Janet Schultzand Marlene Winter of Dubuque, Iowa. The serving table was covered with a taffeta cloth with a net overskirt and was decorated with gladioli and candles. The blue and white color scheme was carried out in the decorations. The bride and groom are both graduates of Scales Mound High School and are students at Rockford School of Business. They will make their home in Rockford after a trip through Wisconsin.
