Albert appears in the 1870 Chicago census living with his parents and two older brothers. He does not appear in the 1880 census. In the 1886 Oak Park, Il. directory he is living at 209 East Ave, the same address as his widowed mother. His occupation is given as insurance and business address is Rookery Bldg. In 1895, the year of his marriage, he is listed in the Oak Park directory as living at the Plaza Lodge, with his insurance business still at the Rookery. The 1900 census shows him living in Elmhurst with his wife and oldest daughter and one servant. The 1910 Elmhurst census shows him living with his wife and four children and one non-relative. The 1920 census shows him living at 211 Kenilworth Ave. in Elmhurst with his wife and four children and two servants.

Started career as messenger for a Chicago Insurance Company; ended as manager of Phoenix Insurance Company.
